I first volunteered to help behind-the-scenes at C3 San Diego (now Awaken Church) for their annual Easter musical in 2016, and I have been growing and serving in Production ever since. While I served and was eventually raised to a position of leadership within the Production Team at Awaken, God showed me how the gifts and personality He built into me could be used to advance His Kingdom.

The work that God did in me and the things that I learned had an immediate impact when I moved to Flagstaff in early 2020 and became a part of Urban Hope Church. I was able to plug right into the team here and help build out a livestream setup so that we could expand our reach and influence at the height of the COVID lockdowns. My pastor jokes that while our role in Creative and Production is typically hidden in the background, everyone reactively turns and looks to the booth anytime there’s an issue with a mic or screen. My goal for our team is not just to make services run smoothly, but to use the tech and tools we’ve been blessed with to support the vision of our leaders and remove as many barriers as possible for visitors to encounter Christ.
