Youth minister at for you indy
I am a single mom of a 16-year-old son, Elliott. I am a high school math teacher at a school on the far east side of the city of Indianapolis. In both of these roles I have desired to be the adult I needed when I was a teen.
I grew up in a family that looked good on the outside, in church every time the door opened kind of thing, but home was different. It was all about how we looked to others and seeking the approval of people and not a lot of real and unconditional love. As I got older I realized that I didn't want that kind of life but rather a personal relationship with Jesus. And, what an adventure that's been!
At the end of 2021 beginning of 2022, I was challenged with the idea that God was calling me from Clarksville, TN to Indianapolis, IN. And, He immediately made it clear that Indy was where I needed to be. Once here I've been trying to live a life focused on saying yes to Him and what He's doing in the city and what He's calling me to be a part of, and I firmly believe that it involves meeting and ministering to the teens and youth of the city. I have a deep desire to love and support the youth of Indianapolis and to share the hope of Jesus with them.
