As I wrap up my bachelors degree in Christian Counseling, I was praying about an internship in church ministry to gain experience. God flung open this door with an opportunity to work at Freeway Church establishing a Care ministry!

I feel called to care because I have a heart for people who are hurting. I believe Jesus is the way to true life and freedom, and when I realized this in my own life I didn’t want to stop telling people! There are many ways we can care for people- but I especially hope to make the topic of mental health easier to talk about in the church. In my own battle with mental health in the past, and seeing freedom from it, I trust God is the way to true healing. In this role, I hope to be a listener, encourager, and messenger of Gods rich truths to those who may feel broken and hopeless.

I’m very excited to see how God uses me to reach others and build up His Kingdom.
